Welcome to The Hardware Collective. By accessing or purchasing from this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our website or placing an order.

General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all users of this website, including browsers, customers, merchants and contributors of content. 

We reserve the right to update, modify or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Products & Availability

We strive to ensure all product descriptions, imagery, finishes and specifications are accurate and up to date. However:

  • product colours and finishes may vary slightly depending on screen settings, lighting and natural material variation
  • dimensions and specifications are subject to change without notice
  • some products may develop natural ageing or patina over time, particularly living finishes

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue or limit quantities of products at any time.

Pricing

All pricing is displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and includes GST unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time without notice.

Freight, delivery charges and any applicable rural surcharges will be calculated at checkout where applicable.

Orders

Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation email. Acceptance of an order is not guaranteed until payment has been processed and stock availability has been confirmed. 

We reserve the right to:

  • refuse or cancel orders at our discretion
  • limit quantities purchased
  • cancel orders where pricing or product information errors have occurred

If an order is cancelled after payment has been processed, a full refund will be issued.

Shipping & Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within the estimated timeframes provided; however, delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to supplier delays, freight disruptions or factors outside our control.

The Hardware Collective is not liable for:

  • courier delays
  • delivery damage caused in transit once dispatched
  • delays relating to backordered or custom products

Customers are responsible for ensuring delivery details are correct at the time of purchase.

Returns & Exchanges

Please choose carefully, as we do not offer refunds for change of mind on custom, indent or special-order items. 

For standard stocked items, return requests may be considered within 14 days of delivery provided:

  • items are unused and in original packaging
  • products have not been installed
  • items are returned in saleable condition

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or supplied incorrectly.

We recommend checking all products prior to installation. Installed products are deemed accepted and may not qualify for return or replacement.

Natural Materials & Living Finishes

Many products sold by The Hardware Collective feature natural materials or living finishes designed to age and develop character over time.

Variations in: 

  • colour
  • texture
  • patina
  • veining
  • tone
  • surface markings

are considered part of the natural beauty and individuality of these materials and are not regarded as faults.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including imagery, branding, copy, graphics and design elements, is the property of The Hardware Collective and may not be reproduced, copied or used without prior written permission.

Website Use

You agree not to:

  • misuse this website
  • attempt unauthorised access to systems or data
  • use website content for unlawful purposes
  • interfere with website functionality or security

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, The Hardware Collective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from:

  • use of this website
  • product installation or misuse
  • delays or interruptions to service
  • inaccuracies or omissions in website content

Our liability is limited to the value of the products purchased

Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where applicable.

Where products are supplied for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act may not apply.

Privacy

Any personal information collected through this website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
